Chiguara - Estate of Merida

Chiguara, is located in the state of Merida in the Sucre district. 40 minutes away from Ciudad de Merida and 15 minutes away from the Ciudad del Vigia. The average temperature is of 28ºC (82.4ºF) and a height of 840 meters (2755 feet) above the see level.

It is a very nice colonial town and with a lot of history.

At this times, it's most appeal is the "La Montaña de los Sueños" park, which founder was Mr. Alexis Montilla, who is also the author of "El Parque Pueblo de los Aleros" and the "Parque de la Venezuela de Anteayer".

La Montaña de los Sueños is a theme park of Film Studies. Since its beginning it offers a collection of cameras, seats, and studies of the time.

The tour of the park is done in approximately 4 hours; although it is advisable to spend the whole day because at the end of the afternoon you can enjoy live music.

EIn the town of Chiguara are two excellent lodges, it is worth spending at least two nights there and enjoy of a walk through the square, visit the church and even hearing the stories.
