Near Santa Elena de Uairen, in the 273 kilometer, we can find the Jaspe waterfall. This waterfall is one of the most visited places in all the Gran Sabana. Its access is easy, organized and you can get to the place by simply following the signs on the road. It’s an obligatory stop for tourists. From the parking lot, it is necessary to make a small and easy trip through the jungle in order to arrive to the waterfall.

You can see a great flagstone about 300 meters long, where the water only covers a few centimeters. To the right, there is a small cascade, perfect for someone looking for some relaxing water-massages, or simply to enjoy a bath at a very nice temperature.

The name of the Jaspe waterfall is due to its semi-precious rock, named Japse, that is really composure from quartz and silica, giving the rock a strong red color.
