Only twenty minutes from Pto. Ayacucho, right on the Orinoco waterfront, between the rapids of Atures and Maipures, you find our Orinoquia Lodge. It is designed in the typical native style, the comfortable furnishings present you a pleasent stay. The Orinoquia Lodge is one of the most beautiful camps in Venezuela. The Lodge has ten double/triple rooms, each of them has its own bathroom, ventilator and mosquito nets. The restaurant and the day room are situated at a spacious rotunda, which is called “Churuata”. Sitting at the comfortable basketchairs you can enjoy the view at the Orinoco. Brief Description Day 1: Transfer to the Orinoquia Lodge. Lunch. Walk to a vantage point with view over the Orinoco river. (L/D) Day 2: Visit indian villages and the “Tobogan de la Selva”. (B/L/D) Day 3: Boat trip on the Orinoco. (B/L/D) Day 4: City Tour in Pto. Ayacucho, visit the indian market and the indian museum. Transfer to the airport. (B/) Note: The program and excursions may vary. Subject to change! Detailed Description Day 1 Transfer to the Orinoquia Lodge. Visit of the Indian market and the Indian museum Lunch. Walk to a vantage point with view of the Orinoco river. You will be picked up at the airport to visit the Indian market, where you can buy handicrafts and the Indian museum, to learn about the different Indian tribes and their ways of life. Afterwards, drive to the Lodge designed in the typical native style on the banks of the Orinoco River. After lunch, you will walk to a vantage point to enjoy a splendid view over the Orinoco River. Day 2 Visit Indian villages and the “Tobogan de la Selva” You will visit an Indian villages, to learn about Indian agriculture, basket, hammock and trap-making. We will also observe various local plants and their medicinal uses. A walk through the jungle will allow you to see the famous “24-hour ant”. In the afternoon, you will visit the “Tobogan de la Selva” a natural water slide with pools. Return to our Lodge in the evening. Day 3 Boat trip on the Orinoco Starting from the camp, you will take a boat trip downriver to explore little streams of the Orinoco and marvel at the abundant vegetation. With a little luck you might even see fresh water dolphins and otters. There will be time to swim and sunbathe on the beautiful beaches, which are formed during dry season. Day 4 Transfer to the airport After breakfast, transfer to the airport. End of services.
