Hato (Farm) la fé Corozopando
In the heart of the "Llano" (Venezuelan plain), half way between Calabozo and San Fernando de Apure, you will find an exceptional place for the nature lovers: The farm La Fe de Corozopando. The journey in car from Caracas is 4 and a half hours, and from the airport San Fernando 40 minutes.
The Lodge is simple, agreeable and comfortable. It has a traditional architectural line with walls made of mud and "adobe" (brick not yet burnt, baked in the sun), wood roofs, roof-tiles and terracotta floors. It has 6 rooms with fans. The common areas are very agreeable and cozy . Food is excellent and combines local elements with international cuisine. |

The most interesting aspect of the Farm La Fe are the excursions that can be done, guided by the personnel of the farm.
Canal: In the farm, there is a navigable canal from June to January, where there are lots of birds and certain animals such as the "araguatos": these are small red monkeys, typical of Los Llanos (the plains). You will be able to watch the birds nests, and observe the eggs in the nests or the pigeons awaiting for their food. Click here for details. |

Estero de Camaguán, Portuguesa river and San Fernando: You will take a ride through the Portuguesa river and if you are lucky watch some river dolphins, know San Fernando de Apure and watch one of the bests sights of the Llano, which is the dawn in a swamp , when hundreds of birds get prepared for the night, under a sky of unforgettable colors.
