Sunrise in Trujillo State
The present landscape motive, from Trujillo, is the bluish-gray foggy sunrise, while riding the Motatán River valley. Many are the times we have trafficked by this section of the Trans-Andean highway, where impressive sunrises occur in route, from Eagle peak towards the city of Valera, riding the grayish asphalt paved road by the towns of La Venta, Chachopo, and Timotes. In this route, a possible alternative consists on taking a left, after living Timotes, and visiting the town of La Puerta. Another alternative is to visit the Mesa de Esnujaque, and to breathe that cool air of its cultivation areas and of its Inns or Posadas, and even staying there for a vacation. A very interesting third route, but only accessible to four wheel vehicles, is to ascend toward the high Páramo of Niquitao and continue on to Boconó. The truth is, that no matter how gray these places are, they are beautiful and interesting to know and visit. Venezuela is beautiful indeed.
