Spanish language courses on Margarita Island Venezuela
Margarita Island is the ideal place for combining holidays in the Caribbean with Spanish language courses. Since 1997, Cela, (Centro de Lingüística Aplicada) offered intensive Spanish courses on 6 levels, the whole year round. The school is small and personal and is located in Playa El Angel in Pampatar, a beautiful and calm residential area, close to the malls and other facilities. Owner and director of Cela is Sabine Loeffler, PhD in Linguistics and Spanish teacher for almost 20 years.
Besides general Spanish courses, the school also offers courses in medical Spanish, business Spanish, and Spanish for law professions with the option to do an internship. Three free excursions, per week to the wonderful beaches and other sights of the island are included in the program. The excursions take place in the afternoon after the lessons.
The Spanish lessons are held from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm, in small groups with a maximum of seven participants or as one to one courses. Accommodation is offered in host families close to the school in private rooms with private bathroom and halfboard or in studio apartments or hotels. The minimum duration of the Spanish courses is one week, but we highly recommend to book two weeks , because one level at CELA Spanish School corresponds to two weeks of lessons. After finishing your Spanish course you will receive a certification from the school and you also have the opportunity to take the DIE (Diploma Internacional de Español) examination.
