Located to the SE of Trujillo State this town is surrounded by ravishing landscapes full of colors ranging from terracotta to emerald green and incredible hues of Andean flowers, resembling a huge alive patchwork that might have inspired Simon Bolivar to name the city "Jardin de Venezuela" (Venezuela's Garden).
