Guacuco Beach

Guacuco Beach is located not far away from La Asunción, Pampatar and Porlamar, and is one of the best beaches in Margarita. It isn’t as big as El Agua or Parguito Beach, but is less visited and has a lot of palms that provide shade and also can prevent the renting of a Kiosk.

Playa Guacuco has very nice waves. They aren’t so strong like in the north beaches, but they are strong enough to board. In some seasons there are algae, that some people don’t like, but in other seasons there aren’t.

There are several restaurants that offer tents, bathrooms and serve foods and drinks. ¿How about trying a nice fish?

By the way, Guacuco is one of the beaches where you can find the best craft jewelry. If you don’t like the ones you see there, or you want a piece that matches other jewelry you already have (this I learned from my wife) in this place you can order one without any problem and at a very nice price.

Before Guacuco Beach, when you come from Porlamar, you find one of the best resorts in Margarita and Venezuela: Lagunamar. Lagunamar counts with several pools, including Olympic, wave and slide pools. Besides, it has any restaurants, from sophisticated ones to simple ones and one at the edge of the sea. Like every great resort, it has directed activities that go from aquarobics, to organized games on the beach and water sports, including water-ski.
